The greatest party of the year
Dear Guest at Solbakken Camping,
We have compiled a set of practical information and guidelines regarding your stay at Solbakken Camping. Please feel free to give us a call or send us an e-mail should you have further questions or doubts.
Solbakken Camping in Denmark and Solbakken Camping in Norway:
We are Solbakken Camping in Denmark. There is another camp site in Norway near Geiranger Fjord which is often mistaken for our Solbakken Camping. If you telephone us and make a reservation for at cabin or a pitch, you might be in for an unpleasant surprise when you show up at Solbakken Camping in Norway and find that everything is fully booked! We don't have their e-mail nor their telephone number.
Solbakken Camping and Nudity:
At Solbakken Camping we enjoy life without wearing clothes when temperatures and the weather in general play along. Our members and permanent campers have chosen to stay at Solbakken Camping for precisely that reason. We expect our guests to choose to stay at Solbakken Camping for the exact same reason also. We are NOT a clothing optional camp site. Underwear or swimwear are not allowed. If it is cold or it rains, we wear clothes, naturally.
We fully acknowledge that nudity is an issue with certain age groups among children. In that case your child wears clothes and stays on your unit. If your child does not stay on your unit, it will be asked to undress.
We like to keep our camp site as car free as possible. As guests with camper vans need to leave our camp site from time to time, we have created special pitches near the gate, where any in or outgoing traffic is less of an inconvenience to other campers at Solbakken.
However, guests with camper vans are welcome to select other pitches at Solbakken Camping, provided they do not move their camper van out through the gate and back in again during their stay. Also, we have a rule that only three camper vans are allowed on the ’Hill’ pitches (the pitches with sea view) at any given time.
We do not have dumping facilities for your grey and septic water, if you have fixed tanks in your camper van.
Cars on our camp site:
As we like to keep our camp site as car free as possible, it is not possible to keep your car next to your tent or your caravan. All cars must be parked on our parking lot.
Our four-legged friends are most welcome at Solbakken Camping, provided that they are on a leash. There are also minor restrictions with regard to acces to the beach - they must use a designated path to get there. Walking your dog must always take place away from Solbakken Camping. We provide 'doggy-bags', which are available at the entrance as well as on the designated dog path. Please read more about dogs under 'Rules and Regulations'.
Arrival and departure:
We are closed for lunch between 12:00 and 14:00, and arrivals and departures are not possible during these hours.
The reception is open from 08:00 untill 20:00. Arrival after 20:00 is not possible.
We can be reached by telephone between 08:00 and 12:00 as well as 14:00 and 20:00.
Calendar Week 30 is Family Festival week:
In calendar week 30, Solbakken Camping is hosting the annual Family Festival (more information on this event elsewhere on our web site). It is a week full of activities for children of all ages as well as adults. It is also a week where you must be prepared for greater noise levels, also in the evenings and some of the nights.
Danish and foreign bottles and connectors are not compatible, for which reason it is a good idea to bring a full gas bottle, and perhaps even bring a spare gas bottle if you stay for a longer period.
Methods of payment:
Payment is possible either in cash or by credit or debit card.
At ‘Solbiksen’, our little kiosk/store, you can only pay cash.
We are not members of the INF, and do not provide any discounts for INF card holders.
We erect a wooden pier on our beach every spring, so that you are able to access deeper water and swim. You use the pier (and swim) at your own risk. There is no life guard on duty.
